Featuring Andreas Varady & Alfredo Rodriguez
One hears – and has a mixture of Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery and George Benson in the head. One sees – and has a 14-years-old teenager with sneakers and shy smile before eyes. Andreas Varady is one of astonishing talent which has produced the guitar jazz scene during the last years. Besides, Andreas is more than a technical child prodigy, because in spite of his young years, he disposes of substantial creativity and a deep understanding for music. One hears this also on his debut album Answers which appeard in 2012 and goes around in the Jazzcommunity.
In 2006, Alfredo Rodriguez was selected as one of twelve pianists from around the world to play at the Montreux Jazz Festival. In Montreux, Alfredo struck a chord in legendary music producer Quincy Jones who noticed Alfredo immense talent and decided to begin working with Alfredo. Since then Alfredo pursued his musical career in the US and start touring in the biggest festivals in the world. His debut CD was released in early 2011 with Alfredo's influences from Bach and Beethoven to Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock being displayed prominently.
